Protective Services Department - Emergency Management

How well prepared are you for an emergency?
Everyone should be prepared for the first 72 hours of an emergency! This means food, clothing, water, medication and candles to name a few items that would get you through those first 72 hours.
If you would like more information on how you can be prepared, you can contact Public Safety Canada for an Emergency Preparedness Guide. Order by calling 1-800-622-6263.

Emergency Management

The Town of Sylvan Lake has an Emergency Management Team comprised of staff, contracted agencies and mutual aid partners. The Town utilizes a meeting room at the Community Centre for its Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), which will serve as a place for Town staff to operate effectively in times of crisis. The Town of Sylvan Lake is ready to effectively manage any emergency situation that may present itself. The Town of Sylvan Lake appreciates all our dedicated partners that assist in making the Town a safe place. Without them we could not effectively do the job.
