VOLUNTEER TO BE A FIRE FIGHTER
The services of the Sylvan Lake Fire Department include: Fire Suppression,
Emergency Medical Services (ambulance back-up), Ice Search and Rescue, Hazardous
Material Incidents and Motor Vehicle Collisions (Extrication).
The Sylvan Lake Fire Department currently has 31 members including a fulltime
Fire Chief, a volunteer Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief, three Captains and three
Lieutenants. Each crew consists of a Captain, Lieutenant, Pump Operators and
Firefighters.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Sylvan Lake Fire Department
was created and exists soley to protect the lives
and property of the citizens we serve.
Further training enhances our ability
to UI) hold this commitment.
As you know, or will soon find out,
Firefighters are a dedicated and committed breed.
It takes many hours of training to become a good
Firefighter.
This is a position that offers few rewards,
however, the satisfaction of helping
your fellow citizens in their time of need is the
ULTIMATE REWARD.
