The Sylvan Lake Municipal Development Plan is the primary long range planning document for the Town of Sylvan Lake. It outlines the goals, objectives and planning philosophy for the Community's future. All future plans, policies and guidelines must conform to the policies and objectives contained within the Plan.

The Town is currently in the process of reviewing and updating the Municipal Development Plan.

The first of two public workshops regarding the plan was held on November 1, 2011 where the following topics were discussed:

• Topic 1 – Neighbourhoods
• Topic 2 - Housing Choice
• Topic 3 – Parks and Green Space
• Topic 4 – Natural Environment
• Topic 5 – Urban Design

Even if you were unable to attend the meeting we want to hear your comments. Please give us your input by filling out the comment sheet below. Comments can be faxed to the Town office at 403-887-3660, emailed to kdevlin@sylvanlake.ca or dropped off at the Town office between 8am – 4pm.
