Councilor Frank Peck
|

|
 |
Frank Peck has been calling Sylvan Lake ‘home’ for approximately 16 years and is
very proud of the direction the community is taking.
Presently, Councilor Peck is the Director of Operations for Red Deer County. He
has a departmental operating and capital budget of over $20 million and is also
responsible for the county’s utilities, roads, buildings and agriculture
services. He is the Project Manager for the Central Waste Authority Commission
and is overseeing the development and construction of the Waste to Energy Plasco
Project.
Not only is Peck committed to his work, but he is also very dedicated to the
Town of Sylvan Lake.
“I am deeply interested in the future of the town,” Peck explains. “I have a
solid background in Municipal operations and governance and wanted to offer my
experience to assist in ensuring that the Town will develop into a municipality
that we can all be proud of.”
There are quite a few issues that Peck would like to see addressed during his
term on council including an improved trail system and additional recreation
facilities. Long term planning for the future (with public involvement), inter
municipal co-operation and fiscal responsibility are also priorities for the
councilor.
“I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to many of the residents of
Sylvan Lake, and together we have watched and influenced the morphing of this
small town into a progressive, dynamic community.”
