CONSENT AGENDA
Council approved the following:
- July 3, 2024 Committee of the Whole minutes approved as presented
- July 8, 2024 Regular Meeting of Council minutes approved as presented
DELEGATION
- Jason Wong and Brad Ferguson of Optimus SBR gave a presentation to Council regarding the new Economic Development Strategy
PARKS AND PROTECTIVE SERVICES
- Council approves First Reading of the Off-Highway Vehicle Bylaw 1904-2024, as presented, and direct Administration to engage in a public input strategy to receive feedback from residents
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
- Council approves the Economic Development Strategy, as presented
PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT
- Council grants Second and Third Reading to Bylaw 1900-2024, the Town’s Safety Codes Services Fee Bylaw
- Council directs administration to enter into negotiations for the sale of Municipal lands, legally described as Lot 3 MR, Plan 9926305, with 2411414 Alberta Ltd
LEGISLATIVE SERVICES
- Council approves Second and Third Reading to amending Bylaw 1901-2024, being an amendment to Procedure Bylaw 1886-2023
- Council accepts the results of the 2024 Municipal Census and directs Administration to provide the results to Municipal Affairs by September 1, 2024
PUBLIC WORKS
- Council approves the completion date for the South Reservoir Servicing Modifications be changed from December 2024 to December 2026
- Council approves the budget for the Decommission South Reservoir Pump Station of $1,200,000 be transferred to the South Reservoir Servicing Modifications, as presented
RECREATION, CULTURE AND TOURISM
- Council approves the Best Western Special Event Application
