CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARDS
- Council presented the first annual Citizen of the Year awards
CORPORATE SERVICES
- Council approves First Reading of the Fees and Charges Bylaw
PARKS AND PROTECTIVE SERVICES
- Council approves the Recreation, Parks and Open Spaces Master Plan
HUMAN RESOURCES
- Council rescinds Policy H002 006 – Employee Screening, to be replaced with an equivalent administrative policy
- Council rescinds Policy H003-004A – Health and Wellness Benefit Program, to be incorporated in the Benefits policy
- Council approves the updated Benefits policy
ADDITIONAL ITEMS
- Council directs Administration to prepare an in-house report, with no additional budget implications, regarding affordable housing options for seniors and families in the Town of Sylvan Lake, that includes the following:
- summary of current affordable housing options and organizations involved;
- provide initiatives and examples in comparable communities;
- provide information on potential partnerships to assist the Town of Sylvan Lake in developing, implementing and facilitating additional affordable housing options;
- provide a summary of benefits and challenges.
