  Festival Street Upgrades

Weather permitting, construction begins Monday, July 11 on the Festival Street Expansion Project.

• Completion is expected by October 2022
• Most construction is scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• Some occasional work on Sunday is required

This phase of the project includes:

• Excavation and removals
• ATCO gas line work
• Water main replacement
• Sanitary service replacements
• Installation of electrical conduit and streetlights
• Gravel road structure
• Asphalt paving
• Concrete sidewalks and crosswalks
• Landscaping
• Line marking
• Installation of a public art component

The next phase begins in 2023:

• Second layer of asphalt
• Addition of street furniture
