PROCLAMATIONS

  • Mayor Hanson proclaims February 13, 2025, to be National Wear Red Canada Day in the Town of Sylvan Lake
  • Mayor Hanson proclaims February 17, 2025, to be Random Acts of Kindness Day in the Town of Sylvan Lake

FIRST READINGS

  • Council grants First Reading to Amending Bylaw Number 1912-2025 and sets February 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM in Council Chambers of the Municipal Government Building as the date, time, and place for a Public Hearing
  • Council gives First Reading to the South Reservoir and Servicing Modifications borrowing bylaw
  • Council gives first reading to the Northeast Gateway Water Supply Main borrowing bylaw

THIRD READING

  • Council grants Third Reading to Bylaw 1908/2024 with the inclusion of the minimum height of two storeys in the Waterfront Commercial District
  • Council approves Third Reading to amending Bylaw 1905-2024, being an amendment to Procedure Bylaw 1886-2023

TAX EXEMPTION

  • Council approves a property tax exemption for Community Partners for leased property at 5043-50A St and 5030-50th St for the 2025 taxation year

ELECTION BUSINESS

  • Council appoints Mandi Wisheu as the Returning Officer and Jolene Reynolds as Substitute Returning Officer for the 2025 Municipal Election

E-ATTENDANCE

  • Council approves electronic meeting attendance by Mayor Hanson for the Regular Meeting of Council on February 10, 2025, Committee of the Whole Meeting on March 5, 2025, and Committee of the Whole Meeting on April 2, 2025, for the purpose of attending Council related business
  • Council approves electronic meeting attendance by Councillor Dakin for the Regular Meeting of Council on February 10, 2025, for the purpose of attending Council related business and Regular Meeting of Council on March 10, 2025, for the purpose of attending work related business
  • Council approves electronic meeting attendance by Councillor Mearns for the Regular Meeting of Council on February 10, 2025, for the purpose of attending Council related business
