PROCLAMATIONS
Mayor Hanson proclaims the following:
- June 2024 as Recreation and Parks month
OPEN MICROPHONE
- Mike Detharet of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, spoke to Council regarding turning public lighting off at night
RURAL RENEWAL STREAM
- Motion from Council to continue Sylvan Lake's participation in the Rural Renewal Stream Program is defeated
TRAFFIC SAFETY BYLAW
- Council approves Third Reading of Traffic Safety Bylaw
DEMOLITION PERMITS
- Council approves Development Application DP#123-2024, for the demolition of a detached dwelling located at 4219 Lakeshore Drive (Lot 1, Block E, Plan 7948AA) as presented in AIR-949, subject to the following conditions:
- The Applicant ensuring:
- compliance with all Federal, Provincial and Municipal statutes, regulations and codes;
- the property is maintained to the satisfaction of the Development Authority; and
- any future development on site shall require a separate permit application
- Council approves Development Application DP#122-2024, for the demolition of a detached dwelling located at 4215 Lakeshore Drive (Lot 2, Block E, Plan 7948AA) as presented in AIR-948, subject to the following conditions:
- The Applicant ensuring:
- compliance with all Federal, Provincial and Municipal statutes, regulations and codes;
- the property is maintained to the satisfaction of the Development Authority; and
- any future development on site shall require a separate permit applicatioN

NOTICE OF MOTION
- Councillor Dakin gave the following Notice of Motion:
- THAT the Town of Sylvan Lake Council adopts the policy of including detailed vote counts for each agenda item discussed during council meetings in the official meeting minutes. This shall include the names of councillors voting for, against, or abstaining on each motion presented, to promote transparency and accountability in our decision-making processes. Councillor Dakin confirmed that she will make her motion following notice at the Regular Meeting of Council on Monday June 10, 2024.
