Council approves First Reading of Mobile Vending and Busking Bylaw
TENDER AWARDS
Council directs Administration to award tenders for the following:
- Phase 2 of the Perry Drive Roadway Rehabilitation project to Border Paving Ltd. of Red Deer, Alberta, for an amount not to exceed $300,000.00, excluding the GST
- Solid Waste Collection Vehicle to Superior Truck Equipment of Calgary, Alberta, for a net amount not to exceed $325,000.00, excluding the GST
- Sylvan Lake Wellness and Connections Centre siding replacement to Boald Construction of St. Albert, Alberta, for an amount not to exceed $371,000.00, excluding the GST
- Three new model pick-up trucks (Light Duty Fleet Vehicles) to Kipp Scott GMC Buick of Red Deer, Alberta, for an amount not to exceed $180,000.00
- Centennial (50) Street and 50 Avenue intersection redevelopment Phase 1 to Border Paving Ltd. of Red Deer for $2,170,000.00, excluding contingency and GST; and THAT Council reallocate $150,000.00 from the 2024 Watermain Replacement Program to fund Centennial (50) Street and 50 Avenue intersection redevelopment Phase 1; and THAT Council reallocate $200,000.00 from the 2024 Sewermain Replacement Program to fund Centennial (50) Street and 50 Avenue intersection redevelopment Phase 1
- Herder Drive rehabilitation Phase 2 to Urban Dirtworks Inc. of Sylvan Lake for $1,126,000.00, excluding contingency and GST; and THAT Council reallocate $300,000.00 from the 2024 Street Rehabilitation Program to fund Herder Drive rehabilitation Phase 2
- 43 Street Stormwater Outfall Replacement to Urban Dirtworks Inc. of Sylvan Lake for $155,000.00 excluding contingency and GST
POLICY REPEALS
Council repeals the following policies:
- Finance Definitions F-001-001
- Investments F-003-006A
HOUSING ACCELERATOR ACTION PLAN
Council accepts this report as information and authorizes Administration to allocate the first funding advance of $1,371,357.50 to support the implementation of the Housing Accelerator Action Plan
