Beach Accessible Wheelchairs and Mat for Sylvan Lake

The Town of Sylvan Lake is committed to making Sylvan Lake Park more inclusive. The Town now has 3 beach accessible wheelchairs and a beach mat.
Our Parks Department partnered with The Make a Move with Jagger Foundation. The Foundation purchased a wheelchair accessible mat for the lakefront, and the Town purchased three chairs. The mat enables beach access for wheelchairs, strollers, and canes. The wheelchairs easily roll in sand and grass. Two of the chairs can float and go underwater. Parks crews are installing the mat east of the pier on June 15, 2023.
How to reserve
- When: The wheelchairs are available starting June 17, 2023
- Cost: Free with credit card and ID
