Land Use Bylaw
The proposed bylaw, 1821/2021, to amend the Land Use Bylaw opens for public feedback and comments. No comments or feedback are submitted, and following no questions from council, the public hearing portion closes


Secure Land Management – Industrial Plan Outline
A representative from Stantec appears before Council to discuss the Secure Land Management Outline Plan, which is discussed later in the agenda. A developer also speaks briefly to Council around the industrial subdivision on highway 11A with direct access to rail line

Municipal Development Plan
Council grants first reading to Bylaw 1831/2021 to amend the Town’s Municipal Development Plan and sets a Public Hearing for June 28 at 6:00 PM, as requested in Report AIR-408


West Area Structure Plan
Council grants first reading to Bylaw 1832/2021 to amend the West Area Sturcture Plan and sets a Public Hearing for June 28 at 6:00 PM, as requested in Report AIR-409

Land Use Bylaw
Council grants second and third reading to amend the Town’s Land Use Bylaw 1823/2021 to re-designate parts of the SW 28-38-1-W5M, as requested in Report AIR-407

Second Voting Stations
Council grants second and third readings to Bylaw 1829/2021 to establish a second voting station for the October 18, 2021 Municipal Election in the Town of Sylvan Lake

Open Voting Stations Earlier
Council grants second and third readings to Bylaw 1830/2021 to establish longer voting hours for the October 18, 2021 Municipal Election in the Town of Sylvan Lake, with voting stations opening at 8:00 AM

Mayor McIntyre proclaims June 7 to 13, 2021 as Seniors’ Week in Sylvan Lake, and calls upon all residents in our community and area to join in the celebration of Seniors’ Week to recognize the valuable contributions of seniors

Recreation and Parks Month
Mayor McIntyre proclaims the month of June as Recreation & Parks month, in recognition of the benefits and values that recreation, parks and leisure services provide

Council directs Administration to initiate a restructuring of the People Services Division to an FCSS Division and allocate the Human Resource function to report to CAO in the Administration Division.
