Water Wells Extension
Council extends the completion date for capital project CP 1925 (New Water Wells and Tie Ins) to March 30, 2023.
Second Voting Station
Council grants First Reading to Bylaw 1829/2021 to establish a second voting station for the October 18, 2021 Municipal Election in the Town of Sylvan Lake
Extending Voting Station Hours
Council grants First Reading to Bylaw 1830/2021 to establish longer voting hours for the October 18, 2021 Municipal Election in the Town of Sylvan Lake, with voting stations open at 8:00 AM

Request to Award Tender

Mobile Vending and Busking
Council grants Second and Third Readings of the Mobile Vending and Busking Bylaw, as requested
PULBIC WORKS
Building Condition Assessment
Council approves a budget adjustment for a Building Condition Assessment Report for the Sylvan Lake Family and Community Centre for an amount not to exceed $32,500 with funding provided by the Community Services Department Operating Reserve
Boil Water Advisory Investigations
Council directs administration to strengthen the engineering drawings review process so that important information is not missed and also develop a standard operating procedure for responding to Alberta One-Call to make sure information on ground are provided and communicated through written documents and recorded. Administration is also directed to develop an Operational Plan as mandated by Standards for Municipal Waterworks and Code of Practice while also developing a plan/protocol for Boil Water Advisories in collaboration with AHS/AEP.
Council also directs administration to compensate the impacted residents for a 4-day period of the Boil Water Advisory for a total amount of $23,774.75, funded from the utility reserve.
RECREATION, CULTURE & TOURISM
Town Facility Security
Council directs administration to repeal the Safety & Security Monitoring Policy and approves the Town Facility Security Policy
