Request to appoint Returning Officer for the 2021 Municipal Election
Council appointed Mandi Wisheu to the position of Returning Officer for the 2021 Municipal Election.
Appointment of Public Members to Boards
Council appointed Sharon Mulder Fuchs to the Sylvan Lake Foundation Board for a term to expire in October 2022, and appoints Chris McKenna to the Board for a term to expire in October 2021.

Council approved the Town of Sylvan Lake’s 2021 Operating Budget of $40,851,071, as presented.
Council approved the Town of Sylvan Lake’s 2021 Capital Budget of $11,679,000, as presented.
Council adopted the Town of Sylvan Lake’s Ten-Year Capital Plan, as presented.
Information and Technology Use and Access Policy
Council approved the updated Information and Technology Use and Access Policy, as presented.

PARKS AND PROTECTIVE SERVICES
Request to Award Tender | Pogadl Sports Park, Spray Park and Playground
Council approved Report AIR-355 to award the tender for CP1718 Pogadl Sports Park, Spray Park and Playground, to Canadian Recreation Solutions for an amount not to exceed $900,000.

Family and Community Support Services Board Bylaw
Council granted First Reading to Bylaw 1825/2021, being a bylaw to amend the Family and Community Support Services Board Bylaw.

Council directs Administration to replace Special Events Application Form, Policy R-001-003A, with Special Events Application form, Policy R-001-003B, as outlined in Report AIR-345, as amended, substitute “larger” with “some”.

CORRESPONDENCE
Council directed Administration to research the impacts of the Government of Alberta’s coal policies and how they may affect drinking water for Sylvan Lake, and the downstream effects on other communities east of the Rockies.
