An Early Christmas Gift for the Town of Sylvan Lake
Posted on:
A holiday humbug causing issues at the Winter Village received a silver lining thanks to a generous local business.
Red Deer Bottling, in partnership with Coca-Cola, recently presented the Town of Sylvan Lake and Christmas Village Association with a cheque for $2,200. The money allows the Town to replace lights and other supplies ruined recently by acts of vandalism.
The gesture came forth after reading online about recent vandalism at the Winter Village where lights and strings had been destroyed.
“Red Deer Bottling has been Coca-Cola Canada’s local partner in central Alberta for generations, and we are so proud to be part of this community. Being local means standing with the communities that support us, and Coca-Cola Canada shares that same commitment to supporting local. Together, we’re thrilled to make this donation possible as a small way to give back during the holiday season. We hope that what began as a discouraging story can turn into something positive, inspiring even more families to hear about and come out to enjoy the Winter Village!” – Tarah Truant, VP of Strategy and Operations, Red Deer Bottling
