  • Mayor Hanson proclaims May 5, 2023, to be Red Dress Day in Sylvan Lake
  • Mayor Hanson proclaims May 8-14, 2023, to be Francophone Games Week 2023 in Sylvan Lake

CONSENT AGENDA

  • Council approves project work plans from Recreation, Culture, Tourism and Economic Development, including:
    • Pocket Park Revitalization Plan
    • MGB Electronic Sign Work Plan
  • Council accepts project status reports from Economic Development in relation to:
    • Community Welcome Signage
    • Investment Attraction Strategy
    • Business Support and Entrepreneurship Development

PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT

  • Council grants Second and Third Reading to the Advertising Bylaw

PARKS AND PROTECTIVE SERVICES

  • Council awards tender for Pogadl Park Underground Servicing and Road Works )Phase) 3 to Northside Construction Partnership for an amount not to exceed $3,280,000.00, exclusive of GST.

RECREATION, CULTURE, TOURISM AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

  • Council appoints Brandi-Lee Webber as the primary applicant and Tad Ames as the alternate representative, as Voting Tourism Partners to the Tourism Development Committee for a term to expire October 2024

CORPORATE SERVICES

  • Council approves Second and Third Reading of the Fees and Charges Bylaw
  • Council approves Second Reading of the Property Taxes Bylaw
  • Council approves Second Reading of the Supplementary Tax Bylaw

ADMINISTRATION

  • Council approves Third Reading of the Code of Conduct for Council and Council Committees Bylaw 1871-2023, with the following amendment:
    • Section 56 Addition: …, excluding ceremonial gifts. The CAO shall be advised of any ceremonial gifts received by a member of Council
