First Quarter Project Status Reports
Council accepted the First Quarter Status Reports, from Public Works, Economic Development, and Recreation, Culture & Tourism, as information. 

CORPORATE SERVICES

2020 Operating and Capital Project Budget Update
Council approved the 2020 Operating and Capital Project Budget listing, as presented as part of the 2020 Budget, and included in the report.

Pandemic Financial Update
Council Tabled report AIR-206 as information and requested further information from Administration on the current and updated Pandemic Financial chart. 

PARKS & PROTECTIVE SERVICES

Request to award tender – Centennial Park Playground/Additional Information
Council Tabled the report to the May 25, 2020 Regular Meeting of Council.

PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT

Proposed Bylaw 1808/2020 to amend the Town of Sylvan Lake’s Land Use Bylaw
Council granted First Reading to the proposed Bylaw, being a Bylaw to amend the Town’s Land Use Bylaw to re-designate parts of SW 28-38-1-W5M; and set May 25, 2020 at 6:00 PPM in Council Chambers as the date, time, and place for the Public Hearing.

Proposed Development Permit | Height addition to garage requiring a side yard relaxation
Council approved the Development Permit 024-2020 for the addition of 0.61 metres (2.0 feet) of height, from 3.6 metres (11.8 feet) to 4.2 metres (13.8 feet) with a relaxation to the east side yard from 1.0 metre (3.28 feet) to 0.79 metre (2.6 feet) for an existing garage located at 5220 50B Avenue, subject to conditions.

Proposed Development Permit | Existing Secondary Suite
Council approved Development Permit 034-2020, for an existing secondary suite within a dwelling located at 4111 Lakeshore Drive, (Lot C, Block 2, Plan 2642AS) with relaxations to Section 7.41.1 a, allowing an adjacent secondary suite and 7.41.1 d (ii) allowing the secondary suite to be 85% of the main floor area, as outlined in report AIR-210, subject to terms and conditions.

PUBLIC WORKS

Proposed Bylaw 1805/2020 Water and Sewer Bylaw
Council granted both Second and Third Reading to Bylaw 1805/2020 (Water and Sewer Bylaw).

Further, Council repealed Bylaw 1692/2015, and all its amendments. 

Town of Sylvan Lake Wastewater Master Plan and Inflow & Infiltration Study
Council accepted and adopted the 2020 Wastewater Master Plan and Inflow & Infiltration Study presented. 

Fogdog Energy Solutions Inc – Request to Amend Master Service Agreement
Council authorized the Chief Administrative Officer to negotiate and finalize details of Amendment Number Two of the Master Services Agreement between Fogdog Energy Solutions Incorporated and the Town of Sylvan Lake for a No Landfill Disposal Facility and execute the amendment at his discretion and that the Amendment be co-signed by the Mayor as presented.

Waste Transfer Site
Council received the Waste Transfer Site Information Report, as Information, as presented.
