Council grants First Reading to proposed Bylaw 1838/2021, being a Bylaw to amend the Town’s Land Use Bylaw and sets September 27, 2021 at 6:00 pm in Council Chambers as the date, time and place for the Public Hearing on Bylaw 1838/2021, as requested in Report AIR-461

Council grants Second and Third Reading to Bylaw 1836/2021, as presented in Report AIR-460

Federation of Canadian Municipalities Funding Grant
Council directs Administration to prepare and apply for a grant opportunity (up to $50,000) under the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Municipal Asset Management Program for the Stormwater Data Collection & Model Update project, as presented in Report AIR-378;

Council also commits the Town of Sylvan Lake to procure the consulting services to collect storm system data (survey), GIS data transformation and update the PCSWMM model as a proposed project to be submitted to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Municipal Asset Management Program as presented in Report AIR-378;

Council further approves up to $50,000 to be funded by the Town’s Roads Capital Reserve to jointly fund the Stormwater Data Collection & Model Update project as presented in Report AIR-378;

Upon grant funding approval received from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, Council directs Administration to award the Stormwater Data Collection & Model Update project to CIMA+ at a total project cost not to exceed $100,000, excluding GST as presented in Report AIR-378

GENERAL

Offer to Purchase

Council carries a motion to not accept the offer to purchase the property at 4908-50 Avenue and directs staff to acquire an independent market value appraisal
