CORPORATE SERVICES
- Council approves the write-off of $1,575.28 (net) in utility accounts to bad debts as attached to Report AIR 539
- Council approves Report AIR-538, amending the 2022 Budget, updating the Operating and Capital projects to include carryovers from prior years
FAMILY & COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES
- Council approves Report AIR – 533 on #C-002-004B with the following changes:
- Edit the client designated driver portion of the policy to be applicable to wheelchair clients only;
- Edit the base subsidy amount for wheelchair accessible clients to $200 a month, with all other users to follow the suggested fee structure included in the draft bylaw; and
- Direct administration to bring back this policy again after the taxi bylaw has been reviewed
PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
- Council tables the report, debate and decision of proposed Bylaw 1842/2022, the Short-Term Accommodation Rental Licensing Bylaw, to the Regular Meeting of Council on April 25, 2022
- Council tables the report, debate and decision of Bylaw 1850/2022, being a bylaw to amend the Fees and Charges Bylaw 1833/2021, to April 25, 2022
PUBLIC WORKS
- Council approves a budget adjustment from the mobile equipment reserve for an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 to fund the purchase of a Solid Waste Collection Vehicle, CP2208, as presented in Report AIR-532
- Council awards the tender for a new model Solid Waste Collection Vehicle to Superior Truck Equipment of Calgary for an amount not to exceed $315,000.00, excluding the GST, as presented in Report AIR-532
- Council approves a budget adjustment for the replacement of the carpet in the Sylvan Lake Library for an amount not to exceed $40,000.00 with funding provided by the building maintenance reserve as presented in the Report AIR-536
RECREATION, CULTURE & TOURISM
- Council approves first reading of Bylaw 1853/2022, the Mobile Vending and Busking Bylaw, as defined in Report AIR-531
