New Town of Sylvan Lake CAO Hired

The Town of Sylvan Lake is excited to announce that after a nationwide search for a new CAO we found the best candidate in our own backyard. Council chose Sean Durkin to fill the role, effective today, August 2, 2022. Along with a progressive leadership style, Mr. Durkin brings over 28 years of municipal experience, including:
- 5 months of experience as the Interim CAO for the Town of Sylvan Lake,
- 5 years as the Director of Recreation, Culture, Tourism, and Economic Development for the Town of Sylvan Lake, and
- 23 years of experience at the City of Brampton and Conservation Halton, Ontario.
