Town of Sylvan Lake Festival Street Expansion Project Underway!

Weather permitting, construction begins Monday, July 11 on the Festival Street Expansion Project.
- Completion is expected by October 2022
- Most construction is scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Some occasional work on Sunday is required
This phase of the project includes:
- Excavation and removals
- ATCO gas line work
- Water main replacement
- Sanitary service replacements
- Installation of electrical conduit and streetlights
- Gravel road structure
- Asphalt paving
- Concrete sidewalks and crosswalks
- Landscaping
- Line marking
- Installation of a public art component
The next phase begins in 2023:
- Second layer of asphalt
- Addition of street furniture
