Garbage disposal at the Waste Transfer Site is closed until further notice due to fire. Underground embers from branch disposal were re-ignited by today’s winds and high temperatures. Thanks go out to quick acting staff and our Fire Department. The fire was extinguished quickly, and no injuries were sustained. We’ll announce the reopening of the garbage disposal as soon as it is safe.
