Yard and Kitchen Waste Collection Begins April 13

Yard and kitchen waste collection begins Tuesday, April 13, with regular garbage pickup.
Details:
- Place all yard/kitchen waste (mixed) out by 8:00 AM
- Yard/kitchen waste more than 100 litres MUST be in biodegradable bags
- Yard/kitchen waste in containers under 100 litres may be loose
- Biodegradable compostable bags must be no larger than 65 cm X 90 cm
- Maximum weight is 23 kg
- Containers (not bags) must have a “Yard Waste” decal on the container. Decals are available from the Municipal Government Building located 5012 48 Avenue or the Municipal Operations Building located at 1 Industrial Drive. Decals can be delivered for free by calling Public Works.
The program runs until November. Yard and kitchen waste can be taken to the Waste Transfer Site during business hours at no charge.
