UPDATE | Lake Rinks Closing For The Season

UPDATE: After reassessing current conditions, crews have determined that the lake rinks will close Tuesday March 2, due to poor ice conditions.
The gate providing access to Lakeshore Drive will remain open until Wednesday March 3, at 7:00 AM.

The Town of Sylvan Lake is closing all lake skating surfaces on Wednesday March 3 at 7:00 AM due to the warming temperatures affecting the integrity of the ice. Crews will be monitoring conditions in the event that the surfaces need to be closed sooner.
Access to the beachfront from Lakeshore Drive will close on Wednesday morning as crews begin work on site.
A reminder to everyone walking along the beachfront to use caution and awareness as we transition to warmer temperatures and deteriorating ice conditions.
