ADMINISTRATION

Proposed Revision: Business Recruitment Team
Council adopted the proposed updated terms of reference and change of name from the Business Recruitment Team, to the Economic Development Community Advisory Committee.

CORPORATE SERVICES 

Fees for Assessment and Taxation Services | Bylaw
Council gave First Reading to Bylaw 1815/2020, setting fees and charges for assessment and taxation services. 

Managed IT Services RFP Award and Staffing Enhancement
Council directed Administration to enter into negotiations with Bulletproof IT for managed IT Services for a five-year term, and approved the hiring of a permanent full-time position in the IT Department, with initial funding for the remainder of 2020 and 2021 fiscal year to come from the IT sustainability reserve fund; and the operating budget after the 2021 fiscal year.

Budget Pressures
Council directed Administration to draft the 2021 Budget, which will maintain current service levels, while respecting the current economic conditions, and further moved that Draft 2021 Budget reductions focus on the strategies identified in the Budget Pressures Report. 

Utility Billing
Council accepted the Utility Billing Update Report, as information.

PARKS & PROTECTIVE SERVICES

Request to Award Tender | Underground Services, Phase 1, Pogadl Park
Council approved a report to award the tender for Pogadl Park Underground Services, Phase 1, to Northside Construction Partnership for an amount not to exceed $1,025,977.36, exclusive of GST.

PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT 

Bylaw to Amend the Northeast Gateway Area Structure Plan
Council granted both Second and Third Reading to Bylaw 1813/2020, being a bylaw to amend the Northeast Gateway Area Structure Plan.

PUBLIC WORKS 

50 Avenue Modernization | Phase 2, 38 Street to 45 Street
Council approved a budget of $5,670,000 for 50 Avenue, between 38 Street and 45 Street for the year 2021, as presented.

RECREATION CULTURE AND TOURISM 

Sports Field Allocation Policy
Council replaced the Sports Field Allocation Policy R-002-005, with Sports Field Allocation Policy R-002-005A.

CORRESPONDENCE

Mayor McIntyre proclaimed October 6, 2020 World Cerebral Palsy Day.
