Sylvan Lake Permitting Statistics painting a positive picture

Building permit values in Sylvan Lake remain steady, with continued growth.
The value of building permits at the end of July 2019, are recorded at $30.7 million, compared to $21.4 million at the same time last year. To date, the monthly building permit average sits around $3.6 million per month.
Residential permits lead the way, and were boosted by a 98-unit apartment/multi-family building, valued at $14.6 million.
A recent ATB Economics report indicates that the value of building permits issued by Alberta municipalities in June 2019, was down 31.3 per cent from the year previous – indicating that the province’s economy continues to struggle.
Sylvan Lake appears to be bucking the trend; a combination of strong strategic planning, as well as location, are potential factors in our ability to maintain steady growth. Sylvan Lake has some wonderful new development opportunities available – the town is open for business, and our energetic team is here to facilitate development, and work with investors and builders through the application process.”
