Cannabis Consumption Bylaw
Council granted Second Reading to Bylaw 1764/2018, as presented. The Cannabis Consumption Bylaw will restrict cannabis consumption from all Public Places and Public Property; cannabis consumption for recreational use will be permitted on private property only, and only with consent/permission from the owner of that property.
Community Services Fee Bylaw
Council granted Second and Third Reading to amend the Community Services Fee Bylaw, as presented.
Special Event Permit Request – Bounce at the Beach
Council approved the Bounce at the Beach event permit request, subject to conditions. The event is scheduled for August 18, 2018.
ADMINISTRATION
Project Status Reports
After reviewing project status reports, Council approved the following project deadline extensions:
- Municipal Sustainability Plan (from July 2018 to August 2018);
- North East Gateway Area Structure Plan (from June 2018 to November 2018).
Council approved the change in status of the South Area Structure Plan project from current to future planning initiative.
Council accepted all other project status reports as information.

Mayor McIntyre proclaimed July 15 – 21, 2018 as National Drowning Prevention Week.
