PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

Development Permit, 10 Pelican Place
Council approved a Development Permit for a 2 bay commercial building for indoor merchandise sales, located at 10 Pelican Place, subject to conditions.

COMMUNITY SERVICES

Community Services Fee Bylaw Amendment
Council granted First Reading to a Bylaw to amend the Community Services Fee Bylaw. Amendments include adding volleyball court rental fees, and curling rink dry floor rental fees.  

Cannabis Consumption Bylaw
Council tabled Second Reading to Cannabis Consumption Bylaw 1764/2018, until July 9, 2018.

Transfer of Funds from Friends of Sylvan Lake Provincial Park Reserves
Council approved the reallocation of $19,296 from the former Friends of Sylvan Lake Provincial Park Reserve, to Capital Project 1825 “Former Provincial Park Landscape Upgrades”.

PUBLIC WORKS

North Municipal Water Reservoir and Pump House – Contract Award
Council awarded the contract for the detailed design and construction related services for the north municipal water reservoir and pump house to ISL Engineering and Land Services, Edmonton AB, for an amount not to exceed $800,000, excluding GST.

ADMINISTRATION

Updated Hours of Work, Overtime, and Statutory Holidays Policy
Council approved the replacement of Policy H-002-001 by Policy H-002-001A, effective immediately. Policy was replaced as a result of new provincial labour requirements. 

CORRESPONDENCE AND INFORMATION

AACS Golf Tournament Sponsorship
Council once again agreed to provide support to the AACS Golf Tournament, in the amount of $1,000 for the Life Saver Sponsorship package.
