PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
Development/Clean up Desposit Reconciliation
Council approved the transfer of the retained development/clean up deposit monies in the amount of $41,400 from liabilities to transportation reserves.
Subdivision Extension, Beacon Hill Phase 7
Council granted a request for an extension of time to Apri 20, 2019 for Subdivision File 2770-30-155.
PUBLIC WORKS
Interim Business Plan – Sylvan Lake Regional Wastewater Commission
Council approved the Sylvan Lake Regional Wastewater Commission 2018 Business Plan, dated March 27, 2018, as presented, and agreed to the wastewater rate and admission costs that are included within the Business Plan.
Council also adopted the business plan with the understanding that the Sylvan Lake Regional Wastewater Commission plan a comprehensive review and update of the Business Plan later in 2018 to address outstanding issues amongst the members that have arisen from the 2015 Business Plan.
ADMINISTRATION
Festival and Event Strategy
Council adopted the Festival and Event Strategy dated March 28, 2018, as presented.
Council also approved the Festival and Event Strategy work plan, as presented; Council directed Administration to transfer $25,000 from the Recreation and Administration Operating Reserves to the 2018 Economic Development Operating Projects budget with the intent to repay the reserves fund in the 2019 Budget.
First Quarter Reports
Council accepted a number of quarterly project reports from Administration, Public Works, Planning & Development, and Community Services, as information.
Council granted a project extension of time from March 2018 to July 2018 for the completion of the Municipal Sustainability Plan.
FINANCE
Tax Rate Bylaw 1755/2018
Council granted second and third reading to Bylaw 1755/2018 – the Tax Rate Bylaw.
Supplementary Tax Bylaw 1756/2018
Council granted second and third reading to Bylaw 1756/2018 – the Supplementary Tax Bylaw, which authorizes the collection of a supplementary tax in 2018.
Assessment Review Board Update, Bylaw 1757/2018
Council granted first reading to Bylaw 1757/2018, the Central Alberta Regional Assessment Review Board Bylaw.

Proposed Employment Contract
Council ratified the proposed employment contract with the successful Chief Administrative Officer Candidate, whose name will become public when offer is duly signed
